My name is Alphonso Rhodes, current owner of AJS Painting and Decorating. I have been in the painting trade since 1985. I attended John O’Connor Trade School, an apprenticeship program for four years. For fifteen years, I worked for WG Thompson Painting and Rhodes Painting.
In 1995, I started working for the San Francisco Housing Authority as General Foreman for six years. With all this experience that I acquired, I decided to start my own painting business, AJS Painting and Decorating.
I first came to Renaissance Bayview in July 2007. In the need of finding structure for my business, I attended the training program offered by the Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center, Bayview location. AJS is currently part of the Business Assistance Center offered by Renaissance.
